PhotoKen has served the West Central Illinois Region as a REALTOR and Appraiser selling and appraising residential, commercial, and farm real estate.  Through his knowledge of real estate in the Region and knowing client needs he has assisted buyers and sellers for 14 years.  He is founder and owner of Harp Appraisal an area real estate appraisal business which has served the region since 1993.  He is currently licensed as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

Ken Harp is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences where he received his Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in Agricultural Education. After graduating from Macomb Senior High School, his education included degree work at Western Illinois University before graduation from the University of Illinois.  He is a graduate of the Graduate Real Estate Institute (GRI) the training program for real estate professionals sponsored by the Illinois Association of REALTORS.

Ken is current Treasurer of the Appraisal Professionals of Illinois, member of the Lamoine Valley Board of REALTORS, Past President and member of the Macomb Kiwanis Club and is Chairman of its Young Children Priority One Committee.  Ken's wife, Nancy, is Director of the Wesley Ringers Handbell Choir, and both are members of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Macomb and the McDoough Choral Society.  They have a son Steve, a computer sales specialist in Dayton, Ohio, daughter Kathy, a public relations and extension specialist at Mississippi State University, and son-in-law Gregg, an agricultural economics extension professor also at Mississippi State.

Ken enjoys raising orchard fruit and hiking as hobbies.
